Inside Renewable Energy- October 11, 2007
->
One of the biggest barriers in front of the solar industry is the complicated way that consumers pay for their systems. Along with the high upfront cost, consumers must deal with state and federal rebates, renewable energy credits, and net metering. Because of the perceived complications associated with paying back a system, people more often opt for the easier solution — getting their monthly electric bill in the mail.
In this week’s show, we’ll have a report on some new companies that are trying to make it easier for consumers to purchase renewable energy systems.
Also in the podcast: Bernadette Del Chiaro, Clean Energy Advocate for Environment California, joins us to talk about the disappearance and reemergence of solar hot water in California.
Inside Renewable Energy offers the latest in renewable energy news and information.
